October 2024 Hydroponic Garden at OPEN DOORS Education Centre (ODEC)
We are excited to announce the completion of the hydroponic garden at the OPEN DOORS Education Centre (ODEC). This project, initiated by SEGENA e.V., aims to improve both the educational and nutritional situation at ODEC. The hydroponic system will not only provide students with fresh, healthy food but also equip them with valuable practical skills in resource-efficient agriculture.
For SEGENA e.V., the official handover of the hydroponic garden on October 11, 2024, during the inauguration event at ODEC, was an absolute highlight. The “Act for Nature” segment, in particular, allowed us to showcase our work and successfully gain the support of many important guests and decision-makers. Their backing strengthens our vision and will help us push forward with our mission.
This innovative system allows students to engage hands-on in food production while deepening their environmental awareness. We are proud that this project demonstrates how SEGENA e.V. can contribute to promoting sustainability and improving living conditions through education.
